IFPDA, the International Fine Prints Dealers Association, is hosting their annual art fair at the Armory in Manhattan this November. From the 1st to the 4th you’ll be able to see one of the broadest ranges of art one room at once. Since prints dealers are grouped by medium instead of era or style, the fair will unite pieces hundreds of years old and relatively hot off the presses. If you’re in New York it’s worth the ticket price, print fairs have plenty of inventory to see. Even if you’re close the fair is a good enough reason to pull you into the city for a day. Prints are one of the easiest ways to begin an art collection, and the fair has a few kid-approved games (scavenger hunt, anybody?) to keep them occupied while you browse the print files.
