The George Washington University installs Carol Brown Goldberg sculpture

This week the George Washington University installed a new sculpture by Carol Brown Goldberg, a long-time local artist. EdW, a seven foot tall, brightly painted bronze work sits at 23rd and G, in the heart of the University’s campus. The piece is inspired by Edmund de Waal, the British ceramicist.

“The animation of Goldberg’s sculpture with its painted elements

really make this corner ‘pop,’” said Director and Chief Curator of

University Galleries Lenore D. Miller. “We are delighted and proud

to have this wonderful addition to GW’s outdoor sculptures.”
